Difference between SC59 SOT-23 and SOT553

There's a world of difference between SOT-23 and SOT-553. SOT553 is super tiny. SOT-23 is small, but manageable. But now there's another package size - SC59 - just to confuse things! In fact, SC59 is pretty much the same as SOT-23 and this is about as small as we're prepared to go, for hand-soldering SMT components.

So here's our latest modular board game pcb layout, this time using SOT-23 sized components for the hall effect sensor:
